Portland's inaugural Cowabunga, Portland Monthly & Toyota teamed up with 125 Oregon-based chefs, restaurants, winemakers, brewers, farmers, and ranchers for three days of eating, learning, and celebrating Oregon's edible bounty. As the Festival Director, I directed all aspects of the event, from promotion and marketing strategy, partnerships/sponsorship procurement, and overall creative direction to managing on-site execution, production, and post-event recaps. Held at Rossi Farms—the oldest working farm in Portland—the event benefited Parkrose school district and Oregon Food Bank.
